  • Melanie Danza

    Instructor

    Melanie Danza has been involved in the fitness industry for over 30 years. At “Women’s Wellness” a division of NYU Medial Center in New York City she counseled women on the fundamental need of exercise and how to successfully integrate it in to their lives. It was at NYU that she conceived of the idea of Women For Fitness, a full service health club for women which she owned and operated for 12 years in Westchester County New York. Melanie has taught many modalities of exercise. She was an original member of the Step Reebok Training team and traveled the world teaching Step aerobics. Through numerous venues she has spent a lifetime dedicated to guiding her students toward living healthy, fulfilling and powerful lives. Since 2005 her passion for Pilates has been her focus. Melanie was trained and certified through the late Romana Kryzanowska, one of Joseph Pilates’ devoted students and protégés. She recently moved to Florida from Connecticut. She lives with her husband John and Poodle puppy Ellie.

    Somer fell in love with Pilates 10 years ago while playing competitive soccer. She has been teaching for over 5 years and has had comprehensive training in both New York and Toronto. Her classes have a focus on correcting postural alignment, improving balance and challenging each individual to reach their goals through healthy movement that benefits the mind, body and soul.

    Erica started doing mat Pilates more than a decade before realizing her passion within the practice. She regularly incorporated mat Pilates in her workout regime mostly because she loved how it made her feel, and no matter how she was feeling that day she was able to at least do Pilates. She found out years later she had an autoimmune disease that contributed to her daily struggles, but Pilates always gave her an outlet. It was low impact so it was the only workout that she could get through no matter how she felt. She loved the results she saw and felt. She knew in the back of her mind that she wanted to move her career focus, but that was pushed off as she was a single mother for many years of 3 children. After injuring her Achilles at work, leaving her unable to walk for almost a year she discovered Club Pilates. The first studio was opening in the Tampa area. She jumped at the opportunity to become part of Club Pilates. The idea of a Pilates studio that was obtainable to almost anyone financially after years of being a single mother spoke to her. She believed in what this company stood for. Through the training program she realized she was able to walk without a limp for the first time in more than a year and half with the help of Pilates only deepening her passion for the practice. After completing the teacher training program through Club Pilates in 2018, she knew she found her dream job. How many people can say they get to go to work and do what they absolutely love and believe in every single day? Since then she has shared her passion with hundreds of other Pilates enthusiasts, while continuing her education quenching her never ending thirst for more information.

    "I am passionate about helping people be healthy and well!" Kelly is a Balanced Body certified Pilates instructor. Her combined Pilates certification and her degree in Exercise Physiology has led her to specialize in a client centered approach to wellness. She works with clients on improving posture, flexiblity, balance and coordination. Kelly's experience as a Group Exercise Instructor (AFAA) and Personal Trainer (AfAA) enables her to teach classes that provide clients with an effective, motivating and creative workout.

    Pearl first experienced Pilates 15 years ago when she incorporated the method into her healthy lifestyle. In 2018, she took her passion for Pilates to a new level by completing Club Pilates 500 hour Teacher Certification program. Believing “Pilates IS the answer”, Pearl combines her positive attitude and Pilates principals in every class she teaches.

    Annie started practicing Pilates in 2007 as a way to support her yoga practice and immediately fell in love with it. After years of being in the broadcast industry and a stay at home mom, Annie finally found her passion while working as sales staff at Club Pilates in 2018 in Bradenton, FL. Annie exudes her passion for Pilates in her teaching! She loves how Pilates builds core strength, increases stability, flexibility and mobility while helping people move more functionally.

    Trish started her journey as a fitness professional in the late 90’s as a group exercise instructor. “ I signed up for a Pilates session at a conference I attended for continuing education...I was hooked!” Trish completed her first Pilates Certification in 2001 and has been teaching Pilates classes and working with a broad range of clients ever since. “ I truly believe Pilates is beneficial for EVERY BODY! The exercises are designed to improve core strength, flexibility, mobility and body awareness. “ Trish is a Comprehensive Certified Peak Pilates Instructor, her additional certifications include Group Exercise Instructor (AFFA), Certified Personal Trainer (NASM), TRX Personal and Group Exercise Instructor, Indoor Cycling Instructor (Schwinn), CPR (Adult & Infant) & AED
